I am astounded that the DA does not have a few people who read the tweets and posts being made against them and the racism of their leader. If Helen still has a say, she should warn MM that he is distancing not just the white vote, but coloured and a lot of thinking blacks as well. If this carries on the DA will fall and that will then be the end of democracy in South Africa. Wake up DA and stop using the ANC tactics to get votes.
It is amazing that the Nkandla saga has not yet led to a Truth Commission for all those who lied about the fairytale fire pool, and deadly guard chickens and attack cattle that would safeguard the "president" and his many wives in their luxurious shantytown called Nkandla. Very few people did not lie to protect a man who has caused more harm to our country than any of the apartheid people ever did. And suddenly the whole Zuma family are poor and can not help the poor prez to "pay back the money". Now I wonder what he did with his royal salary every year? Surely the measily amount he is required to pay back is just 2.5 years worth of pay. Of course there is the other option, take the money and flee to some obscure South American or African country.
A white scumbag has gone to jail for 18 years for selling arms to gangs and general bad people. Good work by the honest cops and may you rot in jail Mr Prinsloo. I am sure that you are the direct cause of many murders and killings in our already crime ridden country. You were a respected policeman and look where you are now. From being a protector of the people to nothing in one easy step.
I made a comment on social media about BEE and how it is actually degrading to the people, and it says that they are too lax to get jobs on their own and have to be helped every step of the way. And the response I get is: "That is how racism works." No that is not true, this is not racism, it is stupidity. To expect people to give away half or more of the businesses they built up over many years, just does not gel. Keep on forcing them, and they close the business and another 10 or 12 people sit without jobs. It never worked in America and will not work here. The only people who comply are the major firms.
SABC has declared 90% local music and only 10% foreign music. Sounds so good, or does it? If we have nothing to compare local music against, how do we know it is good? It is nice for the artists if they get free publicity, but the SA market is so small compared to the rest of the world, that they will barely survive. SA music needs to earn its place, not be pushed into a place, that is just BEE again and it says our artists are not good enough to compete with the world, so we will have to push them ahead in our country - sad, very sad. And SA has voted against freedom of speech at the UN - we are becoming a sad, clown-republic.
I just have to say one thing. Has it ever struck anyone that the women in ministerial positions all just happen to be at the very bottom of the intellectual chain? How did someone so consistently choose these few from millions that are a lot more intelligent?
Lastly, I have some advice for workers. The shedding of jobs is a direct result of your continued strikes. No company can afford to have a 4-5 week strike and then an increased wage bill. Every time this happens, word goes out from top brass that jobs must be cut to compensate for the loss of revenue. Time has come for unions to stop striking for long periods and if necessary lets change one of the racism laws into a strike law and put a limit on strike time. Striking is not a must, negotiations with proper understanding from unions will be a lot more productive.
